An amnesiac Methuselah. He's just chilling, now.
Personality
Laid-back and easygoing. An academic at heart, but doesn't talk about it too much.
Somewhat awkward due to his constant adjustment to modern life.
Life
A scholar born in the Kushite Empire, with a keen interest in both bookkeeping and communing with the dead. His expertise landed him a position as one of the many court advisors in the empire's court, which allowed him to pursue his studies relatively quietly.
He drew the attention of a Cappadocian Kindred after seeking out sources for necromantic magic, and was eventually embraced some time down the line. He later used his unlife both to bolster his studies as well as for the benefit of the empire up until its decline centuries later.
After whispers of political unrest began to rattle the court, he offered himself to be entombed alongside the newly-deceased emperor as a means of protection and goodwill, primarily as a way to save himself from possible final death. With this, he willingly let himself be staked and entered into a deep torpor for nearly two millenia. His torpor would later be tampered with after the Kushite Empire fell, leading to his memories being wiped by Kindred allied with the succeeding kingdom.
At some point in the 2000's, his tomb was uncovered, and was transported into Europe for study. He is later awoken by a team of human archaeologists by accident, leading to an incredibly bloody frenzy that led to the deaths of the team that had discovered his body. After the incident was dealt with by the local Camarilla via a well-timed chemistry lab fire incident in the campus, he was taken under the custody of a Tzimisce surgeon in order to aid with his adjustment to modern unlife, as well as to assist with his thirst.
He would soon find out that his memories prior to his torpor were greatly lacking, leaving him with only fragments of his life and unlife, too little to form a coherent image of who and what he was before. He would instead take this with far more stride than expected by those around him, with him viewing it as a "rebirth" of sorts.
He would later form a close bond with the Tzimisce's childe, Alexis. Due to his proximity to the two Tzimisce, he would also later find himself loosely involved in the local Camarilla, working largely as an investigative aid when the need arises. Though, he is largely left alone by the local court, primarily out of fear due to his age. Regardless, he often volunteers, if the whim arises.
His actual age is unknown to most of the court and is actively concealed by those who know, mostly to avoid drawing too much attention towards him. He is instead introduced as a neonate Lasombra, with the cover-up story of being abandoned by his Sire shortly after embrace.
He spends most of his free time experimenting with newfangled technology and entertainment.
Around the 2020's, he would be targeted by an ex-Sabbat Tremere, who would then attempt (and fail) to diablerize him.
Appearance
In modern nights, he appears as a young, dark skinned red-eyed man of average height, with a head of short, average-length curly hair. He possesses a full set of sharp, triangular teeth.
Long ago, before he entered into torpor, he appeared as an incredibly sickly and nearly corpse-like man, with similar attributes to that of his current appearance.
Misc. Info / Notes
- He was active for approximately 400 years or so until he put himself into torpor.
- Lost a lot (if not most) of his resources when the empire fell, which, combined with his amnesia, left him largely disadvantaged upon his re-awakening. He still remembers how to use his powers, though.
- Had a few childer, none of whom survived the coming millenia. Most of his descendants fell to the Feast of Folly, or due to other kindred-politics-related-reasons.
- Died bald. Later requested hair from Alexis after learning about Vicissitude, much to the latter's annoyance.
- Keeps an extensive diary in the modern nights, all written in Meroitic, in order to avoid possible breaches if the diaries were to be stolen.
- Loves murder mystery procedurals. Has an extensive collection of DVDs and recordings of popular series.
- Works alongside the local Sheriff. Primarily on investigative duty, and often utilizes his necromantic powers in the process.
- The more he uses his necromancy the more he clues into his past, often receiving shards of memories in the process.
