viktor love angle notes...mostly applicable for modern AU but i think the description is general enough to work with MOST AUs.

calrin: shown as mutual loves, but viktor's affection to karin is somewhat debatable.

vicky is karin’s childhood crush. her feelings of looking up to him and wanting to be with him have been crossed and cannot be untangled anymore. she likes the feeling of being doted on by him. tldr she likes being baby :( (if he points this out she gets mad)

he also acts like a mentor figure to karin. he saw her grow up with a myriad of issues, some of which were (in)directly caused by him (for pokemon canon specifically: he did, in fact, directly cause a few of them. not so much in modern au lol) he feels responsible for her as a result. her stubbornness is endearing to him. in a way i think he sees potential in her but it's pretty much squandered away by the fact that she has shit to sort out and that vicky himself isn't exactly the best guy to guide her. but he's all shes got :V

vickyeil: implied to be in a situationship, with viktor having unrequited feelings while eilhart is unsure about his own feelings towards vicky (and he'll never really figure it out! canonically at least. hard to tell if he just really likes him as a friend or actually likes likes him. eil never really recognizes that he's like actually gay in most settings in the first place.)

vicky enjoys eil's quieter nature. he sees it as a nice change of pace, and as a challenge, somewhat. he also wants to see him (be more) vulnerable. primarily for horny and somewhat ulterior motives.

the two of them share a surprising amount of interests. history buffs of the weapons kind. also historical LARP lmao.

eil finds vicky's confidence endearing, and his persistence is a somewhat comforting constant to him. like I think he has such a tendency to push people away that he'd find it comforting that this dude is STILL there despite everything. also they're hobby buddies man like come on.

eil considers vicky reliable, as skeevy vicky is he does genuinely have eil's back (in AUs where vicky isn't trying to scheme for political reasons. otherwise this goes out da window). eil still finds him annoying, though.

eil and karin are shown to be friendly towards each other. kind of like co-workers type of friendship but they aren't really co-workers. i mean in some AUs they might be, but, yknow.

karin reminds eil of theo, in a way. if theo was louder, anyway. he also side eyes the way viktor interacts with her and is slightly concerned for her well-being, knowing that vicky is kind of a slimy fuck.
