PKMN - Gijinka Canon
• Karin's crush on Caled started very early on, likely developed shortly after he first joined her team.
• Honestly pretty sketchy start; Caled did not like her at first and only warmed up to Karin after some time.
• During the time period between "did not like" and "endeared by her" he kind of realized that she had a crush on him, and somewhat took advantage of it. Offered (albeit chaste) physical affection and faux emotional affection to make his life easier.
• ...If you ask him about it, he'll admit that it got blurry to him at some point and eventually became more genuine.
• Karin only realized that he was faking it at the start a lot later down the line (when they were already genuinely friendly with each other.) Genuinely felt hurt by it but never brought it up to him. Caled is aware of it, though, but hasn't really done anything to explicitly address it. However, his (sometimes overbearing) affection towards her is his "apology", if you will.• Karin finds him cuter as an Aegislash. Somewhat finds him more intimidating as a human. Caled deliberately uses this to his advantage, sometimes.
• Caled is very physically affectionate towards her. She finds it overwhelming at most times, but puts up with it.
• Caled dotes on her a lot, and the irony of the relationship being somewhat a blur between romantic and familial isn't exactly lost to him. Either way, he kind of enjoys it.• Karin sees him both as a figure that she looks up to (wants to be like him) and as someone (she thinks) she wants to be with. It's not really that clear for her.
• They're not "official", technically. Upon Karin's own request.
• Their first kiss happened (officially) after Karin wins the Kalos league, at an afterparty.
Dragon's Dogma 2 (I'll put the DD1 version up sometime down the line...)
• Arisen, Pawn, what else can I say? lol.
• Viktor was kind of created under the 'ideal mentor' vibe for Karin. Yes, this includes the haughtiness.
• Despite being her pawn he (especially at first) acts very standoffish towards her, in a "I can't believe this is my Arisen...", type of way. Has resulted in many arguments between the two.
• Compared to other AUs he's deliberately more tsun than dere in this, and has the most similarity with the early canon calrin dynamic wherein he was somewhat uncooperative and dismissive of her. Obviously he cooperates more as her pawn, but still.• Karin puts up with him because she can easily see through his bullshit here as an Arisen. It is incredibly endearing to her.
• She also considers him a very "grounding" presence, and is arguably the only thing constant in her life after she got thrust into the Arisen-Dragon cycle shebang.• He is incredibly overprotective of her in this AU, moreso than any other AU.
• His attitude towards her kind of worsens when he's dragonsplagued. Both on the overprotectiveness (suffocating) and the haughtiness (condescension) side. He just wants his Arisen to be safe, but she's too stubborn to listen...! So he'll simply take matters into his own hands!
• The dragon part of the plague makes him want to eat her up, though. Literally.
Monster Hunter AU
• Close friends/comrades turned, uh, romantic. Kind of. Honestly they kind of just started fooling around (they were bored...) and it got out of hand.
• Viktor is a nomadic hunter; Karin joined him some point in his journey.
• Karin sought Viktor out because she herself wanted to be a hunter. In a way she's training under him!• Viktor finds her irresistably cute...wires get crossed and it led to him wanting something else, lol.
• Viktor / Eilhart / Viktor aka: vickyeil, eilvicky
M/M | occasionally reverse | CW: situationship™, occasionally abusive (depending on the AU), eil has internalized homophobia (usually)

Modern AU - Regular
• Best friends to lovers to exes
• They get along as friends, and initially started hanging out due to shared interests and the like. The two are usually on the same wavelength when it comes to a lot of things.
• The difference is that Viktor serves as the more "Id"-centric of the two, which helps Eilhart break out of his self-imposed rigidity when he's around Viktor. Likewise, having Eilhart around encourages Viktor to reign in at times.• It's mutual, but took an incredibly long time for either of them to step forward, only for it to fall apart pretty quickly after the two of them officially became an item.
• ...The dynamic between them becomes imbalanced once it becomes romantic, with boundaries getting rearranged quite badly as a result. This leads to Viktor getting encouraged to impose on Eilhart more than he normally could out of affection, which then leads to Eilhart closing himself off due to getting overwhelmed.
• Theoretically they could repair the relationship if they just go back to being friends, but once both of them realize that their affection is mutual (but also inherently incompatible with each other) it's going to be hard to not fall back into their tumultous dating state...
VtM AU
• ...This is actually one of the more "normal" AUs with them; in the sense that the relationship isn't exactly a trainwreck by itself, but it does end up becoming an actual trainwreck due to outside forces.
• They met at a bar, while Eil was trying to, well, feed. Viktor started flirting with him first, though.
• Eil was supposed to feed on him (I mean, he was in a good position to offer a one night stand and just nibble...) but he gets cold feet and somehow ends up (albeit awkwardly) scoring his number instead. They meet up again in a different bar, and it ends up becoming a regular thing for them.
• Viktor just found him amusing at first, all awkward and all. His original intent was to actually just get an easy lay out of him, but that proved to be more difficult than he expected.• For most part, they're considered "just friends" (with tension) in this AU, with the occasional drunken incidents and the like.
• ...Somehow, Viktor ends up becoming one of Eil's touchstones or at least something of the sort. Canonically, in the AU, Eil never ends up feeding on him.• Canonically, Viktor does not know that Eil is undead, and Eil goes through a lot just to keep it hidden from him. His daytime avoidance is largely chalked up to Eil being seen as sickly/fragile by Viktor.
CANON / OC
• Daeran / Eilhart

Usually, when I RP as Eil in games, he's pretty immune to romance (usually too focused on his duty at hand...!) Except for this one time, I guess. Daeran attempting to court the Knight-Commander was something I did not expect...
Pathfinder: WOTR [Knight-Commander!Eilhart AU]
• WIP
• I like to imagine that it started off as a one-sided crush on Daeran's end, stemming from how, er, bratty he gets if you play as a goody-two-shoes KC. Eilhart only started reciprocating when Daeran starts courting him in Act 3, mostly because Eilhart can be pretty dense towards romance when he's locked in on something.
• A strong "push and pull" dynamic between the two; with Eilhart's (usual) straight-edge tendencies coupled with him being genuine probably tiptoeing the line between "endearing" and "annoying" for Daeran. Likewise with Eilhart, Daeran's playful jerkishness can mildly irritating for him but is largely a welcome change for him (and therefore a point of enderament as well...)
• After they get closer Eilhart starts feeling protective. Stupid baka paladin tendencies...! I'd like to think that it's initially suffocating (and quite conflicting) for Daeran, but eventually becomes an anchor of sorts, especially when shit starts hitting the fan in later acts.
• Likewise, Daeran would continue nudging at Eilhart in order to draw him out of his law-centric shell. He has to (or should) have a life outside of his commander duties, after all...• They got the ending where they do NOT murder Liotr + Daeran faces the Tribunal but is let go as long as he's under the Commander's supervision (NOT the asylum ending)
