A Rogue Trader of the von Valancius dynasty who sought after illustrious glory above all else.
Personality
Generally appears to be confident and somewhat flamboyant to others. Has a charismatic air around him, and commands attention very easily.
He is, however, prideful and quite obsessed with maintaining his "image", so to speak, and was heavily influenced by his upbringing. He hates being seen as weak and/or inferior.
Can be incredibly (and aggressively) stubborn, especially if he believes himself to be "correct".
Has a hedonistic streak. Somewhat of a romantic.
Life
Born into the major noble house of Venria de Vahl on the planet Aeos, an Imperial Civilised-Mining World located in the vast expanse of the Calixis Sector, known for its plentiful ceramite and plasteel deposits. He grew up with the expectations of becoming the house's next patriarch, and was raised to become both a shrewd and well-bred noble.
He would then inherit the title of Planetary Governor when he had come of age, and bore the brunt of responsibility well, but not without a vice or two to keep himself in check. His time as governor would soon be known across the sector, with Aeos' economy and population flourising under his care. This would, however, earn him a great number of enemies as well, primarily from rival noble families and eventually, from those who worship the Archenemy.
With the boom in population came a number of heretical cults that had gone under the radar from the watchful eye of the elite, primarily composed of the lowborn from the planet's hive cities. This drew the attention of one of the Calixian Inquisitors, who would then send in an acolyte to assess the situation at hand.
He would later be targetted by a chaos blood cult after a particularly aggressive campaign to eliminate the growing number of chaos cultists from Aeos. He would succeed but not without casualty; driven to desperation, the remaining members of the cult would strike at him directly, managing to kidnap his entourage and a few other house Venria de Vahl nobles in order to torture and sacrifice to Khorne.
This would culminate in his son manifesting his psyker abilities for the first time, which engulfed the cultists' base in flames. This incident would end up wiping out most of the remaining cultists, with a few casualties from the other imprisoned nobility. The aftermath left only Viktor, his son, and the acolyte alive, leaving both the duke and the acolyte heavily injured. With much hesitation, his son would then be handed over to the Inquisition, and later (but unbeknownst to him) sanctioned.

He would later receive an invite from a distant cousin, Theodora von Valancius, to her flagship, in order to discuss matters of succession. After a cultist attack left Theodora and her only other heir dead, he would then claim the sacred Warrant of Trade and assume the title of Rogue Trader.
Appearance
A tall, pale, burly man. Has brown hair and blue eyes. Signs of age show on his face.
Fitted with a few augmetics: a bionic left eye, a gold-plated nosebridge implant, a silver port on his right temple, and a gold plate replacement for his neck.
His hair is kepy around nape length. Typically styled either fully slicked back, or partially slicked back with his fringe draped over his bionic eye.
Dark body hair and scars covers his body.
