Life
Orphaned at an early age, he grew up within the confines of the Academy of the Sun itself, raised by one of the magi who was part of the academy's staff who took him in after finding him abandoned in one of the cathedrals connected to the academy.
He grew up to boy who was innately curious about his surroundings, having been stuck inside the academy for most of his life. Despite this, he grew up to be a skilled mage, having learned the basics of light magic at an early age. Given his skills, his formal entry in the academy was not unexpected by the institution's leaders, but his past and acceptance had become somewhat of a controversial topic among his peers.
Often bullied under the pretense that he had unfairly been accepted in the Academy due to his relationship with one of the High Magi who had been his guardian and foster parent after he was orphaned. Fairly unpopular with his peers, he does have a small group of friends but typically keeps to himself in order to avoid aggravating others.
After sneaking into the academy's archives he stumbles across one of the forbidden tomes of the tainted magics, where he finds out about blood magic. He goes through the tome and becomes enamoured with the tainted magic, as its use and abilities being appealing to the boy's own wants and goals. Tempted to try out the tainted magic, he manages to scribble down the basics in order to try it out for himself. He quickly familiarizes himself with the basics and tried to expand his skillset as much as possible with the little he had copied from the tome, as avoided going back to the archives in order to lessen any possible suspicion of his practice.
He later gets caught practicing blood magic after he accidentally lashes out one day, and he narrowly escapes arrest and execution. He goes into hiding shortly after, but manages to hone his skills in blood magic after discovering fellow mages in hiding.
He eventually reaches the point where he is confident enough in his skills to attempt lichdom, but he fails his attempt and winds up as a Mantle, a lesser type of lich. The knights from the two kingdoms later discover the birth of the incomplete lich, and he soon finds himself hunted down by the kingdoms' Protectors.
Appearance
A fair-skinned man with brown, messy, neck-length hair. Lanky and overall looks skinny, but has hints of muscle due to his academy training.
Has silver eyes.
Has a myriad of cuts and scars on his arms and palms, especially his left palm, due to his use of blood magic.
Typically portrayed wearing the uniform of the Academy of the Sun.
